Responsibilities: Note: Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder. To provide team and group leadership in the areas of project leadership, business requirements analysis, systems design, application development, and application maintenance and support. Under the guidance of the designated Manager and following prescribed department, Office and procedures, the Systems Developer III is expected to demonstrate leadership for projects medium to large (3 to 5 person teams, 200+ users impacted) in scope. He/she is expected to demonstrate initiative, serve as a positive role model for all team members, and be capable of making educated systems design and implementation decisions consistent with the Firm's strategic and tactical goals. He/she develops and delivers the following project documentation as required by project scope: RFP, project plan, proposal, resource requirements, functional and technical requirements, gap analysis, and vendor analysis. In addition, the Systems Developer III is expected to maintain responsibility for a number of production systems as designated by his/her Manager. Responsibilities include 3rd level technical support, application integration, product roadmap oversight, and facilitation of communications between TSS and other Firm groups as necessary and as it relates to the application. The Systems Developer III must work successfully in an environment of constantly evolving and rapidly changing hardware and software technology. The individual must maintain and update general and specific personal knowledge in system technologies. He/she should expect to work on multiple projects in parallel with changing priorities and periodic stress-oriented situations. Travel may be required as necessary. Duties and Responsibilities: · Leads TSS staff members and other members of the Firm in technology initiatives.· Provides project leadership responsibility for projects of medium to large (3-5 person teams, 200+ impacted users) scope.· Conducts day-to-day management of staff augmentation resources when required by project teams.· Coordinates communications between project team and other TSS and Firm groups.· Develops knowledge and/or experience in the following areas: Department standard programming languages and software development tools. Department standard software and development aids. Firm business department systems and functions. · Delegates responsibilities to team members as appropriate.· Designs and develops systems/programs.· Documents programs based upon appropriate department development standards.· Tests and debugs systems, consults with users in the development of test data, tests programs using test data and appropriate files, and reviews results with users.· Works with vendors to communicate bugs and identify solutions for packaged applications.· Prepares requirements, design, program specifications, and time schedules for assigned projects based on department standards.· Defines resource requirements/requests for projects.· Works under the direction of the Project Manager for projects of larger scope.· Works equally well as team leader and team member. · Works with the QA, application support, and training personnel and vendors on the implementation of operational systems.· Performs program maintenance and problem resolution on assigned systems/programs.· Performs implementation of purchased/acquired software packages/programs.· Occasionally required to perform duties outside of normal business hours.· Attends training courses as recommended by their managers. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: · Solid experience in all aspects of the systems development lifecycle and able to lead projects through the entire lifecycle.· Provide a high level of customer service.· Excellent technical and organization skills.· Interface with vendors to manage deliverables and to communicate application requirements.· Demonstrable knowledge in computer software including systems and application software.· Demonstrable knowledge of and development experience with one or more of the following items from the Microsoft technology stack: SQL Server database Transact SQL Visual Studio C#.net ASP.net Microsoft Reporting Services SharePoint IIS Windows Desktop OS Windows Server OS Microsoft Office · Working knowledge or experience with the following technologies also a plus: Oracle 9i and/or 10g database Oracle Reports Oracle Discoverer Oracle SQL and PL/SQL Metastorm BPM Cognos BI Suite Java Lotus Notes Legal packaged applications such as Interwoven, Adobe Acrobat, and Payne Metadata Assistant. · Ability to work on multiple projects in parallel with changing priorities and periodic stress oriented situations and still meet deadlines. · Excellent written and oral communication skills, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation. · Good interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively delegate project tasks and to effectively interact with people at all levels of the organization as well as vendors. · Ability to read, write, and speak English. · Ability to perform mathematical functions - add, subtract, multiply, divide, percentages. · Ability to read, comprehend and follow instructions. |
Will be responsible for the development and support of business critical EDI mappings and processes in a Sterling Integrator (formerly known as GIS) environment. This position will work with customers, vendors, internal business clients and internal application I.T. teams to analyze requirements and implement EDI processes for all divisions of the company. This position is responsible for the monitoring and supporting of both EDI and B2B communications systems and processes to ensure high levels of availability. This position will also be responsible for leading small to medium size projects.
Technical skills required: 5+ years of ED X12, Edifiact mapping and process development. 1+ years of Sterling Integrator. 1+ years of Sterling Integrator Business Process Modeler design and development. 1+ years communications software support (including FTP and AS2 Setups).
Non-Technical Skills Required: Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Excellent team interaction skills. Proven record of leading medium size projects (with a minimum of three project team members). Ability to be on 24x7 Business Critical On-Call support at a minimum of one week out of every four.
Technical Skills Preferred: Oracle PL/SQL, XML, Unix scripting, Java programming.

Responsibilities: Note: Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder. Testing a new desktop build to include Office 2007 and Legal MacPac making sure that they work with everything else in the build. Other projects include testing a new Voice Mail System, a new printer application and building a new Web application for HP Quality Center (Mercury). Additional projects are small and the plans are already put together for them. This person will only have to execute them. Must have strong communication skills and be able to work in a team environment.

Will be responsible for interpreting project requirements and definition as prepared by a Senior Developer or a Business Analyst. Developing and enhancing the necessary applications and testing all developed work. Additional responsibilities include regular communication (written and verbal) of project status to the project stakeholders and Information Systems management. All work must be developed in accordance with company's development standards.
Technical Requirements: A minimum of 8 years of experience developing software in a DOS/VSE IBM mainframe environment using COBOL, (Batch and CICS) accessing VSAM files. Must have the ability to set up test JCL, test jobs and review and analyze test results. Must have a minimum of 3 years experience gathering, analyzing and documenting business requirements. A background working with Financial and/or data entry systems and knowledge of the Agile Scrum methodology are a plus. General Requirements: Must have excellent analytical and problem solving skills, interpersonal and communications skills, as well as strong project planning skills. Must have a high level of initiative, requires minimal directions and have the ability to multi-task and the have excellent time-management skills. |
